The rules of the SSB North American Sprint have changed slightly from the CW NA Sprint. On SSB, KH6 (Hawaii) is now counted as a multiplier, similar to KL7, even though KH6 is not a North American Country. On CW, KH6 is treated as a non-North American country, so it counts for QSO points, but not as a multiplier (no change).

The CW and SSB NA Sprint contests are now supported by separate organizations, hence the rules will likely diverge further in the future.

Not clear.

The SSB rules (section 10) state : ... KH6 DOES count as a state in this contest, even though it is not a North American country. ...

If so, they will send their state (HI) as exchange I guess ? And HI will be in the (multipliers) states list, and KH6 won't be in the "NA" (multipliers) list ?

Or the rules are not correct, and must be written as "KH6 DOES count as a multiplier in this contest, even though it is not a North American country."

My mistake, KH6 should count as a STATE multiplier, for the SSB contest only, not as a country. So yes, they will say "Hawaii", and HI should be listed under the state multipliers.

But KL is still counted as a NA mult, and not as a state, like now, right ?

The rules are unclear. Win-Test can list KH6 as a state and KL7 as an NA Country, or list both as states, or list both as an "NA" Countries for SSB Sprint. Only the Win-Test multiplier display is affected, not the scoring.

For consistency, it would probably be best to list both AK and HI as U.S. states in the Alt-Z box, and every other NA country in the Alt-M box.

For the CW Sprint, AK could be included as a state, but not HI. At present it is listed as an NA Country.

wt-dev build 603 with AK in the States list for all legs, and HI as well for the Phone leg only. Exchange help alert updated. Please review and report to close this task.
