Using wtDxTelnet Version 2.1

  1. Download and install CW Skimmer from http://www.dxatlas.com/CWSkimmer
  2. In CW Skimmer: View, Settings, Telnet (tab)
  3. Check \"Enable Telnet Server\", port 7300, and press [OK]
  4. Under the \"Operator\" tab enter your Callsign, Name, QTH, and Grid Square.
  5. Open wtDxTelnet, Options, DXCluster Properties
  6. Profile Name: Local CW Skimmer
  7. Hostname/IP: localhost
  8. Port 7300
  9. Login (your callsign)
  10. Check \"No password required\"
  11. Important: For \"Commands to enter when connection is established,\" put: SH/DX
  12. Check: Autoconnect at startup
  13. Press [OK]
  14. DX Cluster, Connect
  15. Bug: WtDXTelnet connects fine and works properly but it never issues the startup command \"SH/DX\" when you first connect.

The prompt displayed when you connect to a local CW Skimmer is:

Connection established Welcome to the CW Skimmer Telnet cluster port! CW Skimmer 1.1 is operated by Bob, N6TV in San Jose, CA (CM97CF) Please enter your callsign: N6TV de SKIMMER 2008-05-11 18:49Z CwSkimmer >

I think wtDxTelnet is looking for a differnt prompt to trigger the startup commands, so it never issues them.

\"sh/dx\" entered manually or via Win-Test works fine.

To clarify, when you connect to CW Skimmer\'s telnet server it displays on seven lines:

Trying to connect to localhost N6TV Connection established Welcome to the CW Skimmer Telnet cluster port! CW Skimmer 1.1 is operated by Bob, N6TV in San Jose, CA (CM97CF) Please enter your callsign: N6TV de SKIMMER 2008-05-11 18:59Z CwSkimmer >
